Revised
Common Lectionary Gospel
Sermons™
exists for the sole purpose of being a resource for pastors. It
is an Internet-based homiletic aid and anyone is free to utilize
the sermons as they wish. A pastor might choose to preach the sermon
as it is, or modify it to fit his or her own style and congregation's
needs.
Sermons posted on this site are written weekly for the upcoming Sunday, using the Revised Common Lectionary. Subscribers can download the sermon for the coming Sunday, or Feast Day, (as well as sermons from earlier years e.g. sermon for Advent A 1, 2007, 2004, 2001) in a format that can be edited and printed. You can take the sermon, revise it as you wish, cut and paste parts into your own sermon, and print it for your use, or you can print it exactly as it is. The subscription rate is $7.95 (USD) per month. You may read a sermon on line without subscribing, and you download it as a locked file, for free. The locked file cannot be copied, edited or printed. However, if all you need is a kernel of thought to stimulate your sermon writing, the free version is clearly the way to go.
